William will share the method behind the magic he makes with and for his clients. Taking an art-centered approach, William will show us how he thinks about his process from the inside out. From there, he will demonstrate how he creates his signature imagery. William will connect the dots, demonstrating his lighting approach live, talk through a Sales Appointment, and teaching his signature art remastering process. At the end, William will touch briefly on his newest project in the world of digital painting.
Biography
William Laurence is a portrait artist based in Memphis, Tennessee, known for his captivating and emotionally charged portraits. With over four decades of experience as a natural media artist, William has a unique talent for capturing the essence of his subjects and revealing their soul through his paintings and photographs.
William grew up in Los Angeles with a dual interest in art and technology, and has been both drawing/painting & programming computers since middle school. The Air Force brought him and his wife, Judith, of 37 years to the Midsouth, where they raised their 6 children.
In addition to painting and photography, William enjoys cycling and competition archery, and is a huge fan of sci/fi fantasy authors. He loves to travel and experience new places and cultures (8 other countries, and counting). He and Judith also enjoy the cinema and live concerts.
Beyond his artistic skills, William is also known for his way of creating a transformative experience for his clients. The William Laurence Experience is a one-of-a-kind journey that takes clients on a deeply personal exploration
of their own significance, helping them to see themselves in a new light and appreciate their own unique beauty
and value.
William’s work has been recognized and published internationally, and featured in curated art collections. But his greatest accomplishment is the look of wonder, delight and genuine love in the eyes of his clients as they view the finished product of their collaboration together.
