Join Mike Stone, M.Photog., Cr., CPP for a day long workshop- “Get More Clients, Make More Profit, Spend Less Time”.

Most portrait studios do great photography but wish they could get more clients at a higher profit, and NOT spend nights and weekends slaving over production work and managing their business.  Mike will share ideas and insights for using marketing that works to get new clients, earning a higher profit through pricing & merchandising, and saving time and stress through delegation, outsourcing, and scheduling so that you can get more from your business and still enjoy time with those you love. 

Having worked in photography since being a teenager, Mike has done all levels of studio business from being a solo operation to managing dozens of people and multiple studios and a lab.  He will help you see possibilities for creating efficiencies in your studio, how mindset is the most important part of growth and success,  how to use the right marketing to get the clients you want, and how to manage your time.  Also covered will be using StoryBrand in your marketing to make a clear and compelling message for prospects to act on.

Bio

Michael Stone, M.Photog., Cr., CPP has earned a living solely from photography for since 1978. Born in Indiana he started working at a portrait studio while finishing high school. For the next 11 years he worked at and ultimately became the managing operator of that studio, which primarily did weddings, family portraits, and about 350 seniors a year. In 1990 he moved to MA and worked for Hilton Photography until it was sold in 2008.

Over the years Mike has done most every job in the photography industry including sales, marketing, photography, lab work and lab management, print retouching, photography & sales training, HR, and more.

He lives in Worcester, MA and does indoor or outdoor environmental portraits, or studio portraits created on location with his portable studio.  Sales are done in his clients’ homes and most work is delivered to the client and installed.  

Michael’s business is geared toward producing wall art for his clients and offering gift sizes to accompany them, creating a nice average order per client. In 2018 over 70% of Michael’s clients chose a wall portrait as part of their collection, and over 35% chose more than one wall portrait to display in their home(s).
