Being from Brazil, Alice grew up in a culture where a woman is encouraged to own her sensual side, project confidence and appreciate her own beauty. Working as a boudoir and glamour photographer was a natural extension of that culture for Alice, and drew on her skills as a Portrait and Wedding Photographer.
She pursued her interest in photography from early age and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from EMBAP (Escola de Música e Belas Artes do Paraná) located in Curitiba, in the southern Brazilian state of Paraná. Love of traveling and an adventurous spirit led her to the United States in 2002, to pursue training and experience with photography, and the US became her home away from home ever since. In the USA, she developed her craft first by assisting professional photographers, then in 2006 by launching her own photography business in Central Massachusetts. In 2008 she opened The Imagery Studio in Worcester MA and in 2009, expanded the space to include a fully furnished strobe and natural light studio. Active participation with the Professional Photographer Association of Massachusetts (PPAM) and the national Professional Photographers Association (PPA) allowed her work to evolve. In 2014 she won the PPA Silver Photographer of the Year award, and her award-winning images have been accepted into the prestigious PPA Loan Collection. She earned the Photographic Craftsman Degree in 2017 and receive the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation in 2015. In addition to her professional photography business, she is active as a photography instructor, leading classes and workshops on topics including wedding and portrait photography, lighting, composition and posing.
