Patricia Walsh Slaven is a certified professional photographer operating a studio on the south shore in Hanover, Massachusetts.  She is currently President of North River Arts Society in Marshfield, co-chaired their Fine Art Photography Exhibit for three years, is an active member of Professional Photographers of America, Professional Photographers of Massachusetts; a past PPAM board member serving as co-chair of the PPAM Image Competition and serves on the board of the Professional Photographers of New England as VP of Programs.  Patricia has the honor of being represented as a Gallery Artist at South Shore Art Center in Cohasset and a Russell Gallery Artist at Plymouth Art Guild in Plymouth. She has received many awards for her work including the PPA Loan Collection, Showcase Collection and recently earning the PPAM Masters Choice award.

Patricia has gained a reputation as a professional photographer and artist with her attention to detail, enthusiasm and creativity.  The passion she has for creating art and connecting with people started at a very young age, influenced first by her mother an artist and teacher.  Since being introduced to a darkroom in high school she fell in love with the power of photography and set on a path to be a professional photographer studying fine art photography at University of Hartford and to this day continues to keep up with the latest trends in photography at New England Institute of Professional Photography.

Her spirit for enjoying life’s natural beauty and living in the moment is seen through her images.  Patricia specializes in capturing natural expressions and intimate moments that speak to the individuality of the subject in her portraiture.  Her landscapes have a peaceful and intimate feel to them, creating them with the intention to capture the aesthetic beauty of the world while bringing a unique vision that is thought provoking blurring the lines between photography and painting.
